Acouple of years ago I had a client tell me their business doesn’t need SEO. They believed their online presence was enough and only wanted to run social media ads.

SEO isn’t a one size-fits-all approach. This company in particular had solid content on their website, but their local SEO was lacking.

When I tell clients to optimize their Google My Business (GMB) I explain this is a HUGE factor for their local SEO.

  • Update GMB photos

  • Respond to reviews

  • Fill out your services option

There are other facets of GMB that can improve your local SEO. In addition to your GMB, look at your citations. Your NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) needs to have consistency across different networks, directories, and channels.
